🌊 Highlights from the Multi-Stakeholder Consultation on the IWQMF Update! 🌏
On February 26, 2025, the DENR-EMB brought together a diverse group of nearly 80 participants from across sectors for the Multi-Stakeholder (MSH) Consultation on the Integrated Water Quality Management Framework (IWQMF) Update, held at the Richmonde Hotel, Eastwood.
✨ One of the event’s highlights was the dynamic panel discussion on inter-agency coordination, policy gaps, and future directions for water quality management. Thought leaders and key officials from USec CP David (WRMO), DILG, NWRB, LGU-Manila, RBCO, DPWH, ADB, UNICEF, and the House Committee on Ecology shared invaluable insights, moderated by Engr. Jay Tecson and Atty. Ipat Luna.
🤝 In the afternoon, stakeholders broke out into sectoral groups—from National Government Agencies & Policy Experts, LGUs and NGOs, to Private Sector & Academia, and Development Partners—to co-create actionable recommendations for strengthening the IWQMF.
